    • 2016-2018 “Ivan Illich on Conviviality” supported by the Zukunftsfonds der Republik Österreich. 
    • 2009—2012 President of the 54 ICA (=International Congress of Americanists) held in July 2012 at University of Vienna with more than 5000 participants.
    • 2008—2011 "Mobile Food. Essen in Zeiten mobiler Zutaten". Academic concept and curating of the exhibition at Schloßmuseum Linz, Austria supported by Oberösterreichische Landesmuseen. 
    • 2007—2008 "CIDOC-Social Network Analysis" supported by the Austrian Federal Chancellery. 
    • 2005—2011 Director of the Master’s Program in Latin American Studies at the University of Vienna, partly funded by Austrian Development Agency in collaboration with the Austrian Institute of Latin America
