Zur Vortragenden:

Celia Donert is Senior Lecturer in Twentieth-Century History at the University of Liverpool. She studied in Oxford, London, and Fiesole (EUI), and has held fellowships in Berlin, Bratislava, Paris, Potsdam, and Prague. Her research focuses on the history of state socialism, social movements, and human rights. Her first book, The Rights of the Roma: The Struggle for Citizenship in Postwar Czechoslovakia, was published by Cambridge University Press in December 2017. She is currently leading an Arts and Humanities Research Council network called “Tracing the Legacies of the Romani Genocide in Europe since 1945.” Her current book project explores the history of women and communism in twentieth-century Europe.
